Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and performer. She works primarily with Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum, Rasoolum marked her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. Her debut was in Tamil in the film with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer in the Madras High Court. She is the younger cousin of an assistant researcher in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was brought up within Chennai. He went to National Public School. After his graduation, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing classical piano in her eighth year. She sang in The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars aged 10. The group was the beginning of her musical and singing career. The actress was also a stage student at her school and was a part of several stage plays organised through The Madras Players and EVAM. She was President of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's theatre career began by appearing in the film of Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. She appeared in the Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. She also acted as a actor in a Podhigai's TV serial. She acted throughout India. She performed a very brief part in Kanda Mudhal which was the 2005 finale. She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. He asked her to play one of the female lead characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed with Andrea as Kalyani who is a housewife who's husband is involved in a sexual affair and gets targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea got the part of Kalyani following Simran Shobana, Tabu and other actresses were approached. Released in Early 2010. It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to take on a lesser supporting role. The actress made her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
