Coleman is a Lancashire native. Coleman attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She scored the highest marks for her A level examinations. If Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role, she said that she regrets not to have had a traditional university experience. Coleman, while still at High School, was part of the theatre company In Yer Space. They presented the show Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. She was awarded an award for her performance, and the production was also well-received. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman got the role in the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman won two awards in the year 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards, for the British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer and also the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. In 2009, at the British Soap Awards she was awarded in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor following Arthur Darvill left the series, would be playing the role of Matt Smith. Moffat picked her to play the role due to her ability to work the best alongside Smith and was able to talk more quickly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working active in the field for more than 30 years and is involved in a variety of TV and film projects. She is however, more popular for her television projects rather as opposed to films. Eva's roles in TV series Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. It was the former that earned Eva two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to show off her artistic side via music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is a philanthropist and an entrepreneur. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
